My hot take: a good teacher need not be a genius. They’re wise. They’re guides / sherpas pointing learners along a safe path toward the cool treasure ahead.
Yeah, some teachers need to be pwned. Some show themselves to be ‘damage to be routed around’. But from my side of the pedagogical table, curiosity and guardrails and mutual respect are crux to teaching g&t.
