Some folks on Mastodon are going a bit off the deep end: "I fucking hate AI so much. It's ruined everything that I have loved about using Linux and Open Source software for the past 30+ years. And what's worse is that the people and/or projects using AI proudly announce that they are using it. I'm sick of all of it." If it had anti-vax vibes before, very much more so now.

@buckfiftyseven@mastodon.social just making sure you understand anti-vax people are bad not because they're loud but because they get people killed. in this particular schism, the bad guys are the ones burning the earth to make line go up

As always, do the mental experiment: 1) your doctor tells you that you have a dangerous condition 2) the good news is there is a drug for effective treatment 3) but then you learn an AI helped develop it
