@Space_Burger_Steve@mstdn.ca @buckfiftyseven@mastodon.social did you not read the reasons women gave for the bear?
to the other guy, did you not read the reasons people gave acknowledging the small gains at the cost of nigh irreversible reduction in expertise, trust, and natural resources?
Benefits?
From an engineering standpoint, the cost is exponentially more.
From an environmental standpoint, the cost is geometrically more.
From a cultural standpoint, the cost is unmeasurable. Xerox rot at a foundational level.

@alltherum@freeradical.zone @buckfiftyseven@mastodon.social Sorry, are you asking me about the bear thing? If so, yes, I've read the reasons, and I agree, women are right to choose the bear over a random man, that's my point. Hanging up on "not all men," even though it's technically true that not all men are more dangerous than bears, only distracts from the problem that way too many men are dangerous to women, even beyond what a bear would do. Same with AIs, they can have legitimate uses, but those uses aren't what critics are objecting to, so it's beside the point. Sorry if I wasn't too clear on that.
