I just helped resolve someone's shared calendar issues by referring them to https://www.google.com/calendar/syncselect - a page offered by Google to select which of your calendars you (do not) want to include when syncing over CalDAV. It reads "(c)2009 Google" at the bottom and the design reflects the year ;-) Glad I still remembered that page existed. Doesn't seem easy to find in documentation.
