@maffia@mastodon.social Ok, I come at this from a libertarian (socialist) perspective so that might be why I don't agree. I think there is a need for a socialist concept of self-reliance, beyond the social democratic understanding on the individual being free from other relations than reliance on the state. And I don't agree that self-reliance and regulation are necessarily mutually exclusive concepts.
