I did some hypothetical budgeting around moving to Australia. After considering differences in incomes for my field, rent, and other key expenses, it looks like I’d be much off living in Sydney or Melbourne, by about 30k per annum. It’s kind of hard to justify not moving, really. That kind of money would massively change my life for the better.
