With the bubble looking distinctly like it's gonna finally burst. What should we do with all the abandoned AI datacentres and fossil gas fueled generators?

@quixoticgeek@social.v.st while I'd like to see most of them converted to something better for the planet, i'm hoping at least some of them are reverted to colo facilities. That market collapsed with the transition to cloud. (for you younger folks, you used to be able to rent a couple of U's of rack space in a data center where you could install your own servers and connect them to the net.). It would be great to be able to I have my own physical server in an actual data center again.
