to anyone who uses iOS with a self-hosted calDAV/cardDAV server (like nextcloud) an important gotya: You need to set your certificates' lifetimes to be <397 days, or apple shits the bed and refuses to admit it's signed. The reminders app just failed to work. No error, nothing. Took me two hours to find out why. I thought I was being clever by setting long expiry times, since it's all just on my LAN anyway, and I hate messing with openssl.
