been reading #emilydickinson again, after a while with my head bent towards others.
here is number 738: describing a (quite teenager-ish) mood which i recognise having been in myself, over a girl, at least once in my past.

yeah thanks emily, that’s great i’m now mired in my distant past, remembering my first and most formative relationship, and its long tail of fallout. why, brain, why do that?!!
