34: Matt Dinniman, "Butcher's Masquerade" This time, hunters enter the fray, but the crawlers turn the board around. Donut acquires a group of velociraptors and other Dinos, Carl keeps killing things, and the High Elves NPCs behave just as arrogant as you'd expect.

@inreoh@climatejustice.social When you need more books to read this year and like the quirky style of the Carl novels: I can recommend the Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir. Not "fastfoody" as Dinniman's stories (and I mean this in the praising meaning of the word) but with a roster of characters as well written as the dramatis personae in the Dungeon Crawler series. Stross said it best: Lesbian necromancers explore a haunted gothic palace in space! Decadent nobles vie to serve the deathless Emperor! Skeletons!
