@aligorith@mastodon.nz Relative humidity is just that. It depends on the temperature. Cool an airmass without changing the water vapour content and the RH % will go up. Or, take a some cool air and heat it...the number goes down because warmer air can hold more moisture. This is why people who live in continental climates that get Proper Winter usually run humidifiers, because otherwise their indoor spaces are way too dry. Skin cracks, lips chap, hair goes frizzy, and you get static electricity shocks all the time.
