@bagder@mastodon.social Has your opinion shifted around just the security-focused tools, or do you feel the code generation tools also have some merit now? I can see the argument for the security side simply because vulnerabilities exist regardless of how they are found and need fixed no matter what, but imo the code generation side carries a hefty cost of deskilling and dependence if a programmer relies on it too heavily. Interested in your thoughts Daniel!

    @bamboombibbitybop@mastodon.social it remains at: sure, use AI to generate some of the code if you insist, but it still needs to be good code that pass all test cases and you should be able to communicate about your code as a human
