Even if we don't get another open weights release from anyone for the next 10 years the ones we already have will do fine for free* local LLM-assisted work for the foreseeable future.

@troed@swecyb.com @bagder@mastodon.social the AI industry still has a trillion dollar loan to pay back and they don't have that money. Either we pay it plus interest, or the cheques start to bounce.
