I wish we had two times. Locally and personally, pure sidereal. Noon at your current location and so strictly speaking its later 200 feet to your east. Thats how we live, go to lunch. Winter, sun comes up later, goes away earlier.
Then UTC coordinated 24 hour time. Centered not in "Greenwich", whatever that is, but something sensible, like our chicken coop or the Azores or something.
Your phone can calc whatever when you need to know train sched or something.

@tomjennings@tldr.nettime.org @jef@mastodon.social My calendarclock widget I made has Florentine meridian (opposite of Bering Strait; put the dateline where nobody lives still) decimal time using nine months of forty days and a tenth month with enough to ensure the first of the year is on the northern autumnal equinox as one of its options. I also like to have xkcd320 time available (28 hour days, 6 day weeks) and the original equinox rule French republican calendar, and the ability to use either the Paris or Florentine Meridian.
