The idea that programming is about generating code makes exactly as much sense as the idea that cooking is about generating shit.

@mhoye I understand this take, but it's a counter-reaction that goes too far. I''m already seeing stories about "developers" or "programmers" who do not actually know how to write or read code. To be a programmer, you need to know how to read and write code.
