Kieran McAnulty reckons Luxon ruled out TOP accidentally.
“I think he did it by accident, and then he got flustered, and then he ran away,” he said.
“I don't think he meant to do it. He started going on about how they don't like parties that want to spend more, while they're in coalition with one of those. And so I think the fact that he called an end to it and then ran down the stairs like he was competing at the Commonwealth Games suggests that yes, it wasn't meant to happen.”

@BobLefridge@mastodon.nz I'm not convinced he'll stick to that, or even that it was accidental. Strikes me as a plausibly deniable ploy to discourage Nat inclined people from voting for them, and encourage left block people to desert Labour and Greens @jeremy_pm@mastodon.nz
