@nakal@mastodon.social The thing that makes me think that Apple isn’t run by complete idiots is that most of their ‘AI’ efforts are mostly general-purpose compute with a little bit of matrix multiplication on the side. Their private cloud was sold to investors as being for AI, but it’s actually a general-purpose compute-offload service that will let them transition from being a device vendor to being a subscription-service vendor seamlessly.
