@mekkaokereke@hachyderm.io There’s an ancient virtue prized by the original audiences/transmittors/author(s) - Reverence. Which is the habit of mind/heart for setting limits upon oneself. For considering the other side, for remembering one’s own flaws and innate mortality, for maintaining perspective and respect for the awfulness (that which ought to fill one with awe) of reality. The virtue was everywhere in ancient stories. The Tower of Babel is about reverence. It hasn’t been very popular for quite some time.
