Pet peeve: "One-pan" recipes requiring you to (e.g.) take an ingredient, cook it slightly, *remove it* to cook something else, and then return it. if I have to use an EXTRA RECEPTACLE it is no longer ONE PAN. (this is easily remedied by sacrificing a little Mailliard in the name of expediency, I'm just irritated that this is so normalized that it's not seen as technically incorrect. an extra plate/bowl can be just as much of a hassle as an extra pot/pan if you're disabled, for example)
