One of the things that has annoyed me so much for a long time, even back when I was a climate change guy, is that you can't dive into any scientific studies or read articles about the natural sciences without being slapped across the face with an obtuse reference to climate change about once every 3 paragraphs. As if you might have somehow forgotten about it. Here I am reading about salmon farming and its environmental harms and they cant possibly just say "intensive marine aquaculture introduces more parasites to the ecosystem", they have to remind you that the parasites also thrive better in warmer waters. Which are happening because climate change. Which lets parasites breed more. Because climate change. In warmer waters. Climate change. You would think that introducing a huge biomass of selectively bred retard fish that shit everywhere and form a perfect environment for parasites to thrive would remain the core issue here, but the author just cannot let you forget that C L I M A T E C H A N G E. @dickflatteningenthusiast@poa.st I feel the same way about nature documentaries. I don't don't think I've seen a single one that didn't shoe-horn climate change and habitat distraction into to.
