Spent several hours mucking around with a local AI model, saving me the half an hour it would have taken to do this thing myself. It's like working with an amnesiac junior who's drank too much coffee, is totally up for it, and never actually asks questions when he should do. As well as being logical in totally inappropriate ways and occasionally just having a brain freeze. Having to work round these foibles was bad enough for a tinkerer. I'm so glad I quit my job last year when the CEO got AI-itis. You knowingly abstract yourself away from stuff you can do with your eyes shut and feel yourself having less and less agency over what you're doing while babysitting an idiot.
