Thinking about starting a new tech user group with a Luddite/self|community owned slant (ala Human Emacs/codeberg decision on LLMs) as trying to put these kind of things into existing user groups is just too painful.
It would be about AI skepticism (as that is just depressing me), but about what things are being built that aren't using generative AI to produce the code.
I suppose all I'd need would be a speaker, a way to record, and a way to host the event (something that isn't teams/zoom/google).
Anyone interested? Any suggestions on what stack could make it work? Anyone want to talk or suggest other things we might do? Anyone want to help or in fact just do the whole thing as this burned out organiser is still burned out?
What I want is something I can go to where everything I'm learning about wasn't LLM coded and is about that thing rather than about LLM unhappiness. Only suggesting organising it as I've not seen anyone else yet.
