@briankrebs@infosec.exchange oh come on, the subcontractor writing the app pulled in a generic cross platform push library which also supports HMS.
You're going for cheap ragebait here, you could easily check which lib they used that pulls in that dependency.

@jernej@androiddev.social @briankrebs@infosec.exchange I don't think any appdev wonders ~how~ it got there, isn't it still valid criticism as to ~that~ it did? Pointing out the hypocrisy? Sure as f they wouldn't pull any punches on enforcing their ban on any company that did the same?
