My in-laws live in rural Bavaria, Germany and the group of houses is mostly surrounded by farmland. That area is broken up by a few bushes, small groups of trees and a small forrest all of which seems attractive to several types of birds.
A common kestrel is seen on a regular basis and I managed to take photos of him in flight before.
Today‘s the first day I‘ve had the chance to take pictures of him sitting in my in-laws cherry tree, about 10-12m away and I wasn‘t even in my hide.
