I know people want to keep being mad at the internet and social media, but if you actually want people to Not Be Online So Much, you have to give them places outside the home where they can go, free of charge, feel safe, even late at night, and not just to get drunk. Like currently all our safe third spaces are literal McDonalds (or Waffle House), and they WILL get mad at you for hanging out there without buying something. They will also get mad at you for hanging out AND buying something.
