RE: https://mastodon.social/@jplebreton/116987726887903041 One of the big lies of the "AI is inevitable" rhetoric is that their talk implies neural networks are the genie that can't go back in the bottle, but they want the rest of us to act like their centralized corporate megachatbots and data centre infrastructure are the genie that can't be put back in the bottle. Their genies are just products, and all products can fail.
