@cryptica@wireframe.icosahedron.network @cazabon@mindly.social people the term is an insult on people using AI wisely and using it for daily productivity. I have enough personal stories to share - as a senior dev with 30+ years in OSS and software development. Obviously, you have no idea what agentic coding means, how it works and what it can do - if used wisely and if in the right hands. So please STFU and troll away. You are insulting me and others.

@zopyx@mastodon.world @cryptica@wireframe.icosahedron.network If you insist on laying dicks on the table, I also am a senior software engineer with 30 years experience and have been distributing multiple popular FOSS projects for >25 years. And I still say there is no such thing as "responsible LLM use". Even if you don't care about the ethical issues - which I believe would, on its own, qualify someone as a low-grade sociopath - then the legal and environmental and social issues it brings up should put the final nail(s) in the coffin. "But I'm using the slop machine well and wisely" is, in fact, "I like slop-coding, actually" rephrased so very, very slightly. And that means you failed the litmus test from my original post... Slop slop slop slop... [edit: typo fix] #slop #SlopMachine #ethics #responsibility #engineer #DickSizeContest #sloperator
