@mcc@mastodon.social @sarahjamielewis@mastodon.social I do think that even if Servo succeeds, there would be a benefit to preserving Firefox/Gecko as an independent implementation that isn't surveillance capitalism slop. Just as I don't think *all* FOSS should be hosted on Codeberg, let's not pin all of our browser engine hopes on Servo and have a new single point of failure.
