@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org @JohnJBurnsIII@kzoo.to SOCAN levies a fee on every tiny rural coffee shop that allows local teens to sit on a stool and play a few tunes. This fee was $75 in 1998. All the money goes to 6-figure SOCAN exec salaries and expenses, with any residual going to Bryan Adams.
