ULTRAVOX Vienna 1980 Canada pressing A stone cold classic before I head out and start my Monday. One of my favorite #80s records that I will never tire of. I know diehards prefer the earlier #70s Ultravox records, but Vienna is the one for me. The first one with Midge Ure on it, replacing the departed (he left, he didn’t die) John Foxx. Full of really great tunes, and one of the defining albums of the early eighties #synthpop genre. One of my all-time favorite fun and ridiculous facts: The title track, unquestionably the band’s biggest song, reached #2 on the UK singles chart. The song that kept it from being #1?
