I should not have watched that #NFB "270 years" doc, so I'd not now be vexed to imagine a formalized mindset that applauds an armoured armed soldier bayoneting an unarmed 14 year old because she wouldn't let them take her four year old sister. That's not heroism, that is deranged cruelty and sadist sickness, and going rewarded means it is endemic to the system called Canada. Who cares about bombing schoolchildren when such is 'normal'. Not Carney, or really anyone else in our political realms.
