@murdoc@autistics.life I haven't heard anything about cutbacks in Canada when it comes to meteorological observations & forecasting, only about things like long-term climate/environmental monitoring. However, I have been wondering if the cuts in the US are affecting the forecasting here. Weather models cross national borders, of course, & we'd be relying on their data for large scale patterns. Or it could just be climate change / extreme El Niño system that is pushing weather patterns outside the usual models.
