do you think the "smart-assholes" type knows they've created an environment where people will rather share their curiousity with an LLM than risk talking to another human? it's such a loss. I feel it too, in our communities, especially places like HN, it's so disgusting how people address one another. the vitrol. people talk shit about 4chan's banter I worry they haven't seen stem-bro circles. I'm not surprised LLM usage is so high in my field.
