@fdroidorg@floss.social I know that's hard to define and I don't mind apps being abandoned at some point, that's how life goes when you make software. There have been tons of these even without AI slop around. What I would like to see is some official statement on #AI / LLM driven apps in #FDroid by the F-Droid council. We have had a ton of anti-ferature flags for tracking, non-libre services, ads, NSFW stuff. While big FOSS and software platforms take a stance (such as @flathub@floss.social and @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de) I find it a bit disappointing that there is nothing like this for F-Droid. I am not saying F-Droid should ban all AI/LLM supported apps but I would appreciate if you make clear where F-Droid is at because your stance on other issues has been rather clear in the past. When it comes to AI it seems more like: We don't give a shit, hell is coming for us all anyway. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Or maybe I have missed some statement on this? 👀
