Didn’t expect to spend the night here in Katowice, but at least I have a room with a view.
This is my second time in this hotel. Last time my evening train to Wrocław was ninety minutes late (after I had missed a connection in Žilina earlier) and I just gave up.

Good morning from Katowice station which looks like something someone built in Satisfactory. My idea for today was to head further west in Poland and then cross into Czechia somewhere interesting. But between the busy trains and the line to Linz in Austria being closed, I decided to head south instead. Going straight to Bohumín is too boring, though, so I’ll do the other cross border line between Poland and Slovakia instead. (There is a third one far east, but it is currently closed for upgrades or something.)
