I don’t go on Facebook much anymore, but today I saw that my old (old!) friend posted a recording on which I played bass. I boosted it (or whatever they call it). About 30 seconds later, Facebook pushed this Reel on me: “Producer tip: How to guide a bass player who sucks.” I’m not saying they’re wrong. In fact, I wonder how they had such insight into this 1986 recording session. Even so, couldn’t they have waited an hour or 2 to show me that?
