When opposition forces these days take down a monument to racist, fascist or whatever oppressive past, they "put it into storage" or in a museum, so careful to examine history and respect its legacy for all. Meanwhile when the Right destroys something they crush it to dust and scatter it in the wind. There is the difference right there, and the so-called left would do well to learn it. The surveillance state only works one way.
