@OndrejMirtes@phpc.social I think we will have two major kinds of new software in the near future. 1) the well maintained and tested software, that will be better and harder thanks to LLMs and humans who are constantly investing time into the development and 2) the vibe-coded throw-away software, that will be vibe-coded from the ground again instead of being maintained and updated. So yes, I think in the end both ways will increase the average quality of software.
