He improved the economy and riled up the opposition to just deliver it back to them and also serve as an example of how to use power against your enemies.
He could've been a Man of history, he could've been 10% of the fascist dictator that they accused him lf being, and he would'd become a folk hero, but he wasn't up to the task that he himself wanted.
It's an immensely difficult task and i can't blame one for failing, but one needs to be honest with himself and at least fucking try.

If I could personally appoint the top six levels of the entire federal bureaucracy there wouldn't be a single enemy of mine out of a dungeon inside a month, and every single federal cop or military officer who disagreed would be assigned to newly created special posts scattered throughout the remotest corners of the Amazon.
