I have two phones. The one I only turn on once a week to check WhatsApp groups I’m in (and I’ve forgotten to even do that for weeks), which will stay off for the AusAlert check because it isn’t used in emergencies anyway. And my daily use phone, which is staying on so I will definitely get an AusAlert in the event of a disaster like the emus reprosecuting the Emu War of 1932. I would be on the side of the emus, they should justifiably be running Parliament seeing as there’s one of them with their kangaroo colleague in the coat of arms above the front door of the building.
