@Chloe@catwithaclari.net for pstn connections i used twilio, they offer a sip trunk service that's perfectly Passable and works well with asterisk in my experience for remote clients i used a simple wireguard vpn that the firewall allowed SIP traffic to/from there's also something people use a lot called a "sip proxy" that i think does remote clients, and is a very common and supported on basically every client ever
