I agree. There are so many who read our Constitution's supremacy clause incorrectly. Federal law is supreme only in those areas in which the Federal government has authority. Yet the 9th, 10, and Preamble make it clear that the scope of that Federal authority is limited. And all of the rest falls to the states and the people. Thus Hawaii - and every other state - has the right and power to tell SCOTUS to take a flying leap at a rolling donut when the matter in question is subject to State law and not Federal jurisdiction.
