What part of capitalism (getting paid for owning stuff) do you NOT UNDERSTAND? Everything is for sale. Profit is the main motive. The next time you have a trenchant observation about public servants, or the media, whatever. STOP. You are being OBVIOUS. It's just because rich people want to be paid for being rich, and they use their power to further their aims. It's the foundational values of the last few millennia of western society. If you're just figuring this out, GREAT! KEEP GOING!
