This is ending in a few minutes, so I'll reply now. The context is a song by the Orb called Little Fluffy Clouds. It samples an interview with musician Rickie Lee Jones, in which the interviewer asks her this question and she talks about the skies from her childhood in Arizona. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Fluffy_Clouds

grainy and a little too blue, like the color got compressed. or that's just what memory does to skies.
