@electric_gumball@mastodon.social @minego@pdx.social Let’s not get started talking about the naming chaos of the Linux application bazaar. With an organization like Apple, looting BSD code wholesale, there’s at least the possibility of a renaming layer, for a cohesive product, and a UX that some thought was put into. Wonder if a Linux distribution will follow this example, and add a user-friendly naming layer, making the quirky name a coder thought up ( WTF is Krita??!? ), visible, but secondary.
