I always have offline maps downloaded on my phone in case I get into very remote regions without any mobile internet connection - e.g. a village 50km west of Munich, Germany (a city with 1.6M inhabitants). (There is a joke that the coverage with mobile network in Germany is literally a net, so it has to have holes)
