US cities really will half-ass some bicycle infrastructure and then a couple years later when nobody uses it they’ll loudly declare that their studies have revealed that bicycles have failed

we very gently encouraged cars to not hit the cyclists in the “shared bicycle and car lanes” we made by painting extra shit onto the road and nobody paid attention well we’re out of ideas, here’s a 10,000 word paper on how the bicyclists who got hit by cars deserved it
