And that's just the "fun" factors, without even going into, you know, physical disabilities that might threaten my longevity further. Technically I wanted to adopt last year. https://mastodon.social/deck/@ladyteruki/113750148061937879 I eventually did it over 6 months "too late". If I hadn't been able to adopt in 2026, I genuinely think I wouldn't have adopted at all, to be honest, because otherwise it'd have been much too risky.
