@AmeliasBrain@mstdn.ca While we didn't have much snow this winter, July has been cold and rainy here too.
Lucky enough not to get serious flooding here, but the mountain resorts haven't been so lucky https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiszJ3-dAPo (problem made worse there by illegal logging)

@anatudor@mastodon.social Oof, that's scary. The people in that one car, what are you going to do? Try to get out, you could get swept away without any shelter at all, but if you end up swept down the hill inside the car & it crashes in deeper water, that could be worse. Somehow Alberta hasn't had any of those really scary scenes yet this year, despite washed out roads & bridges.
