well i've got some good news and some bad news
good news is, i ordered a brand new Apple SuperDrive to put into my G4 Cube as the connector is identical to the one on the original G4 Cube DVD reader
bad news is, while the connector is in the same position, it is rotated 180 degrees
good news is, i have verified that the pinout is identical to the original G4 Cube drive
bad news is, i need to make a PCB just for this
good news is, although trivial, it fulfills the urge to make a PCB

@xan@xantronix.social Let us know how this works out. I will always have a soft spot for the G4 Cube. I kinda wish they'd put a current Mac mini board in an updated version of the cube chassis
